Our shea story begins with two Brown Sugared Babies (the two youngest above) having been born with pretty bad cases of eczema. Their Dad, being from the Gambia , insisted that Mommy put nothing on their bodies except raw shea butter. Being that shea can be very stiff and waxy in cooler climates, I began mixing additional wholesome moisturizers, emollients and essential oils that had nurturing properties for various skin conditions. After approximately 3 years of concoctions, Brown Sugared Babies Shea Souffle' was born and we are glaaaad about it.
BSB Shea Soufflé is my own recipe of raw shea, jojoba oil, coconut oil, a proprietary blend of natural oils and emollients and some of our favorite fragrance concoctions. With my daughters as my very first subjects and assistants, we have created a truly decadent head-to-toe moisturizer that's sure to leave you feeling spoiled and pampered. And we love that idea because the way we see it everyBODY deserve a little bit of pampering--every now and then. Unlike many shea product vendors and companies, we NEVER cook our shea. We prepare our products using raw, uncooked shea butter only--as we understand that shea butter in its rawest form is the most beneficial to us, yielding a myriad of vitamins such as A, E, F and K.
