A Peace of My Mind is a collection of "introspective" poetry written by, Vickie Brent-Touray. Although this author may be new to the literary world, she has wielded an ink pen and an opinion for all of her life. Having been a lover of literature, poetry and the spoken word for her entire lifetime, Vickie saw it only "befitting" that she herself make a contribution to the world of literature.
A true "70s child", Vickie was born and raised about 25 miles north of Detroit in the City of Pontiac, Michigan in the wake of "great industry, greater music, the best food and even better times." The entire Midwest was thriving and pulsing in the

cradle of what was affectionately known as "The Big 3" (Ford, General Motors, and Chrysler companies). It was in this great metropolis that the author was first inspired to pen personal experiences of visions, smells and sounds that she considered truly "marvelous" in their own rite. In this collection, the author takes us "along for the ride" as she reminisces about those visions, smells and sounds that truly create the tapestry that is Vickie Brent-Touray.
